Stranger Things 4 – Explanation of Volume 2 completed

Literally and figuratively, the fourth season of Weird things It is her biggest adventure yet. Over the course of the season’s first seven episodes, we jumped across multiple continents and into multiple dimensions, while each episode had a running time of at least 70 minutes. These last two episodes come in a combined running time of nearly four hours, which makes for an experience nothing short of epic. As has been the trend in the series, these latest episodes have answered some of our questions somewhat definitively, while also leaving room for interpretation and excitement of what the future might hold. While Vecna ​​captures Nancy (Natalia Dyer) in his mental den in the final episode, he lets her escape to inform her friends of his plan. Nancy, along with Steve (Joe Kerry), Robin (Maya Hawke), Eddie (Joseph Quinn), Dustin (Gatien Matarazzo), Max (Sadi Sink), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Erika (Bria Ferguson) realize it, Just like how Max was paralyzed when she was taken into his den, this also left his physical form defenseless. Knowing that they can basically attack him while he’s helpless, they collect weapons and make their way into the other dimension.

After learning that she’s responsible for removing One (Jamie Campbell Bower) to the Upside Down and turning it into Vecna, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is able to revive her telekinetic abilities. This encounter also leads Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine) to reveal his entire plan was to use Eleven to call One in the Upside Down, although this also happens when the army reaches the facility in the desert, resulting in Brenner’s death as Eleven uses her abilities movement to overcome its attackers. Fortunately, Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), and Argyle (Eduardo Franco) arrive to get her out of the situation.

Using her powers, Eleven discovers that Max realizes that she is the last victim after Vicna seeks to open a huge portal between the Upside Down and Hawkins, and given that she is thousands of miles away, she creates an impromptu isolation tank to re-emerge. to where Max uses herself as bait. Max’s plan works, to some extent, though Nancy, Steve, and Robin are neutralized by the treacherous vines in Upside Down, while Dustin and Eddie are attacked by the Democrats. Eddie helps Dustin escape by pulling the bat away from him, despite sustaining him fatal injuries in doing so.

Despite Eleven’s best efforts, Vecna ​​confronts her and reveals his connection to the Mind Flayer in the Upside Down years ago, leading to a grand plan to bring the dark world to the unsuspecting city of Indiana. While the nature of their symbiosis is not fully detailed, Vecna ​​and Mind Flayer have used each other’s powers in some abilities to orchestrate their master plan.

With both Eleven and Max in the clutches of Vecna, Mike pleads for Eleven to return to the real world, claiming his love for her, inspiring her to conquer Vecna ​​and free herself. By doing so, she overcomes him in the Lair of Reason, which goes on to free Nancy, Steve, and Robin, allowing them to fire gunshots at a physical Vicna before setting it on fire. Unfortunately, Max inadvertently left herself weak in the confrontation, with broken limbs before succumbing to an unresponsive coma.

Throughout all of this, Joyce (Winona Ryder), Hopper (David Harbor), and Murray (Brett Gilman) manage to briefly defeat the Demogorgon in Russia, though this comes with the revelation that Hopper’s captive prison also housed a number of other people. . demogorgons and demodogs. Although they would likely escape and save themselves, they chose to return to the facility to kill the deadly threats, eventually taking them all with rifles, flamethrowers, and swords.

Although Vecna ​​is seemingly defeated in a physical sense, he is still able to carry out his plan, opening up violent and fiery divisions in Hawkins and causing massive damage to the city. With all of our heroes descending on Hawkins, local authorities claim the event was a major earthquake, while some community members still claim it was the result of demonic cults in the area. The final moments of the season finale show eerie ash falling from the sky, as characters discover a spread of death and decay that mirrors the overturned portion of the nearby meadow. As they look at the town, they see mysterious smoke and flames, confirming that Vecna ​​managed to succeed in his plans. While most of his friends seem comfortable defeating Vecna, Will feels a chill in his neck, and asserts that he can still sense his presence, hinting at the return of the villain in Hawkins’ Nightmare Season 5.
